Jozani Forest is Zanzibar's only national park and home to the endemic Zanzibar Red Colobus monkey - a species found nowhere else in the world. Your guided tour will take you through the tropical forest and a fascinating mangrove boardwalk, where you'll learn about the local ecosystem and wildlife.
The monkeys are very used to visitors and live right along the walking paths, so sightings are almost guaranteed. Your guide knows exactly where to find them.
Lunch is not included in the tour price. However, at Mtende Beach there are restaurants where you can enjoy a meal with a stunning view over the beach. We'll allow plenty of time for you to eat and relax.
Maalum Cave is a hidden natural cave near Paje with crystal-clear freshwater inside. You can swim and cool off in the cave - it's a unique and magical experience and a perfect way to end the tour.
Yes! Swimming in the cave is one of the highlights of the tour. The water is calm and clear, so no swimming experience is needed. Just bring your swim wear. Towels are provided by Maalum Cave.
We recommend bringing swim wear, a towel, sunscreen, comfortable shoes for walking in Jozani Forest, and a camera. Drinking water is provided.
Yes. Kids especially love seeing the monkeys up close and swimming in the cave. The walking in Jozani Forest is at a relaxed pace and suitable for all ages.
Tips are not included in the tour price but are always appreciated by your guide and driver if you enjoyed the experience.
Yes, the tour can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the start time. Just send us a message on WhatsApp or an email with your booking reference and we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.
The remaining 80% can be paid after the tour in cash (we accept euros, dollars and tanzanian shillings with their respective rates) or by card in advance (+5% fee). If you would like to pay by card please let us know the day before the tour.
