Dolphin Watching & Swimming

Dolphins are wild animals, so sightings can never be 100% guaranteed. However, Kizimkazi is one of the best spots in Zanzibar to see dolphins, and we have a very high success rate - especially with the early morning start when dolphins are most active. Your guide knows exactly where to look.

If conditions are right and the dolphins are calm, your guide will give you the opportunity to get in the water and swim alongside them. It's an incredible experience, but we always prioritise the dolphins' comfort and safety - your guide will assess the situation on the day.

The early start gives us the best chance of finding dolphins. They are most active in the morning, and the sea tends to be calmer. You'll be back at your hotel by mid-morning with the rest of the day ahead of you.

Yes, you'll have your own private boat and guide for the dolphin watching experience. Your hotel transfers are also private and comfortable.

Yes! Life jackets and snorkeling equipment are provided. You can enjoy watching the dolphins from the boat even if you prefer not to get in the water.

We recommend bringing swim wear, a towel, sunscreen, and a camera. Snorkeling equipment and life jackets are provided by us.

Yes. Children aged 3–7 can join at a reduced rate. The dolphin experience is a real highlight for kids, though please note the early start time when planning.

Safety comes first. If sea conditions are too rough, we'll offer you the choice to reschedule to another day or receive a full refund.

Tips are not included in the tour price but are always appreciated by your guide and boat crew if you enjoyed the experience.
